This well established medical body is looking for a receptionist who can also undertake the role as duty manager. My client provides customers with information required for diagnosis and treatments they are the largest independent provider of research services in the UK. Dealing with private clinics, general practitioners, insurance companies to name but a few.
The Role:
Overall Job Purpose: To oversee the work of the Reception Department including the supervision of junior staff.
? Main Duties: To ensure all visitors and patients to 55 Wimpole St are met with courtesy and professionalism
? To maintain the highest standard of patient care and customer services within the department.
? To be responsible for ensuring the telephone is answered quickly and enquiries are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
? To participate in all clerical activities associated with the Reception Department e.g. computerised data entry, collection of patient fees etc.
? To ensure matters regarding patients are kept confidential and must not be discussed except in the course of your duties. You will be expected to sign an undertaking to observe all patient and Company confidentiality.
? To oversee training of new Receptionists joining the department.
? To be responsible for the Reception duty roster ensuring the department is adequately covered at all times taking into account staff annual leave.
? To be responsible for writing and reviewing Reception Department SOP`s and Procedure Manual.
? To be aware of and abide by the rules and codes of conduct of the department. This is particularly important in the case of Health and Safety and Fire procedures. To behave in a professional manner and cooperate with all other members of staff at all times.
? To work closely with the Patient Services Manager and the Phlebotomy Team Leader
? Other duties as specified by the Patient Services Manager

Ideal candidates should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, have experience within the private healthcare field. Must posses excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work on own initiative as well as part of team.
Highly skilled in MS Office and numerate
